Ingredients
This delicious side dish is composed with a variety of fresh veggies, rotini pasta, Italian dressing, and, of course, McCormick Salad Supreme Seasoning. It's the genuine star of the show!
Ingredient Notes
- Rotini Pasta: Rotini is my preferred pasta salad shape! I love the way it looks, and it's ideal for catching all of the dressing and spices. You'll need one pound.
- Cucumber: One diced cucumber is used here. I use a traditional large cucumber, but mini cucumbers or English cucumbers can also work.
- Tomatoes: The Supreme salad asks for 1 cup of halved grape tomatoes. Cherry tomatoes, or even a diced huge tomato, work nicely!
- Carrots: Combine ⅔ cup chopped carrots. It's the ideal crunch.
- Red onion gives a great flavor and a lovely color to this dish! You'll need half an onion.
- Bell Pepper: This pasta salad contains one bell pepper. You can use any hue of bell pepper, but I suggest green or yellow. This manner, you may cover the entire rainbow (except blue) using vegetables!
- Parmesan Cheese: Combine ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese. I like to use grated since it adheres to all of the spaghetti and blends well with the salad!
- Mozzarella Cheese: This dish requires mozzarella cheese. Because extra cheese usually tastes better! Add 3 ounces cubed.
- McCormick Salad superior Seasoning: The highlight of this superior pasta salad recipe is, of course, McCormick Salad Supreme Seasoning. Add 1 ½ tablespoon for a great flavor!
Substitutions & Additions
- As with any pasta salad, this dish is really very adaptable. Ingredients can be added or removed according on your own requirements, preferences, and tastes. Here are a few of my suggestions!
- Vegetables: A ton of vibrant vegetables are used to make this zesty pasta salad! However, you may always add some of your favorites or take out any that you don't like. Black olives, roasted red pepper, and fresh broccoli florets are excellent choices!
- Cheese: You can use fresh mozzarella, cheddar cubes, more Parmesan, or any other cheese you choose in place of mozzarella.
- Meat: Although salami or pepperoni would be great additions, this recipe is vegetarian as is.
- Dressing: You may use any type of dressing, but zesty Italian dressing adds a lot of flavor to this recipe. Balsamic, ranch, regular Italian, etc.
- Pasta: You may use any shape of pasta here! Try penne, linguini, or even fusilli pasta.
How To Make This Recipe
One of my all-time favorite dishes to cook is pasta salad since it's so incredibly simple! In addition, it is incredibly tasty, packed with nutritious components, and ideal for meal prep.
Detailed Instructions
- Step 1: As directed on the package, begin by boiling the rotini pasta.
- Step 2: Next, get your veggies ready.
- Let the pasta cool in step three. Pasta should then be put in a big bowl. Add the bell pepper strips, tomatoes, carrots, cucumber, onion, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese.
- Step 4: Next, mix in the Salad Supreme Seasoning and Italian dressing. Mix everything together. Allow to cool for half an hour to an hour before serving, if desired.
- Step 5: Present and savor!
Expert Tips
- This pasta salad can be made the day before it is served. Or a couple of hours, anyway! This enables the full development of all the flavors.
- Before putting the salad together, cut the veggies to save time. This might be done on Sunday or at the start of the week. The majority of the job will then be completed when you are assembling the salad!
- Before combining the pasta with the ingredients, make sure it has completely cooled. Make sure the cheese doesn't melt!
- Pasta should be cooked al dente. Pasta salads that still have a little bite are my favorite. Additionally, it preserves all of the dressing and vegetables better this way.
- Take off the cucumber's seeds before chopping. Your cucumber will remain crunchy for days if you do this!
- Before adding the red onion slices to the salad, run them under water. By doing this, the strong raw onion flavor is eliminated, making it a more pleasurable salad element!
- You can run some cold water over your spaghetti to help it cool more quickly.
