Quick, Easy, & Delicious Fall Dessert Recipe
One of the best apple treats is caramel apples! They are on par with apple pie, apple crisp, and apple cider donuts.
And I adore them! However, I detest the mess that comes with cooking and eating them.
This is where apple dip with caramel and cream cheese comes in! Or my Caramel Apples on a Sheet Pan. In any case, this dip is a quick and easy dish that consists of three delicious layers: a rich, ooey-gooey caramel center, a crunchy nut and toffee topping, and a sweet cream cheese foundation!
Additionally, this dip is a simple and sharing appetizer, snack, or dessert that tastes just like the traditional apple season treat! It is a big hit at any festival, potluck, or party.

Ingredients
Caramel apple cream cheese dip requires only a few simple ingredients. It's an ideal last-minute dessert for autumn gatherings. Or honestly, gatherings at any time of the year!
Ingredient Notes
- Cream Cheese: This delectable dip's basis is cream cheese! It offers the ideal creaminess and tangy flavor. You will need one 8-ounce block.
- Powdered sugar helps to sweeten this simple apple dip. One-third cup is all you need!
- Vanilla Extract: 1 teaspoon vanilla extract gives this recipe its characteristic flavor.
- Caramel Dip: For the caramel layer, use 1 cup of pre-made store-bought caramel. You can find this in the produce area of most supermarkets! This is exactly the one I used.
- Crunchy Toppings: The crunchy toppings complement this creamy dip well! Combine 2 tablespoons toffee bits, 2 tablespoons peanuts, and 2 tablespoons walnuts. Or however much you want!
- Apples: Fresh apples are an excellent accompaniment here. I recommend some lovely, juicy, and tart apples.
Additional Mix-Ins & Pairings
Although this toffee apple dip is quite tasty on its own, you can customize it with a few different ingredients to suit your own tastes!
Fruit: Crisp apple slices go well with this apple dip, but you could also use other fresh fruit! similar to slices of pear or peach.
Dippers: In addition to fruit, you may dip in a lot more. Cookies, pretzels, vanilla wafers, or graham crackers are all excellent options. The pretzels with cinnamon sugar would be amazing!
Toppings: You could really put anything on top as a topper! Chocolate chips, chopped candy, additional nuts, and a dash of cinnamon or brown sugar are all excellent choices, in my opinion.

The greatest green apples to dip in caramel dip, in my opinion, are tart and slightly sour! It counteracts the sweetness.

Sliced apples should be tossed with a little lemon juice to prevent browning.
This will slow the browning process and help keep them fresh in the fridge, but it won't stop them from turning brown entirely.
You can look for toffee bits at your neighborhood grocery store. They'll probably be in the confectionery section!
You can, however, purchase them online from Amazon if, like me, you are unable to locate them in person.
You certainly can! The cream cheese mixture is basically the only thing you need to create anyhow. Therefore, you can prepare that in advance and just keep it in the fridge in an airtight container.
It won't take long to put the remainder together just before serving!
I do advise delaying cutting the apples until right before serving, though.
I suggest just covering the serving bowl or dish with plastic wrap and putting it in the refrigerator if you have any leftover apple dip, which you probably won't. It will last for one to three days!
Another option is to move it to an airtight container, but since it probably won't stay long anyhow, why sully another dish?
