Why You’ll Love This Creamy Boursin Cheese Pasta Recipe
A few years ago, the TikTok video of baked spaghetti with tomatoes and feta went viral. Do you remember it? And friends? This Boursin tomato spaghetti is a variation on that. It's incredible. Actually, I believe it to be superior to the original.
I discovered that the feta produced a clumpy, dry sauce when I initially cooked the feta tomato spaghetti. However, the Tik Tok pasta recipe with Boursin is a million times better than the original since the cheese melts into a beautifully creamy texture!
This spaghetti with Boursin cheese sauce is not just the carbs-heavy, delicious feast of your dreams, but it's also:
- Absurdly simple. There is hardly any work or expertise needed, and you just need six basic ingredients (plus salt, pepper, and some fresh herbs if you have them)! While your pasta is boiling, simply mince your garlic and toss everything in the oven. You can't make a mistake.
- Enough glitz for the company. My silky, garlicky, herbaceous, and incredibly flavored Boursin pasta is a hit. Therefore, it's appropriate for a busy midweek supper, but it's also appropriate for a date night or dinner party. Really, this dish is multipurpose!
- Quickly getting lighter. Dinner will be ready in no time at all if you follow this recipe for pasta with Boursin cheese. By the time your pasta has completed boiling, it will be ready!
Pasta with feta is over!
Ingredients & Substitutions
As promised, my Tik Tok Boursin cheese pasta recipe requires only a few simple ingredients. Here's what you can grab:
- Dry Pasta - Use whichever pasta form you choose and cook according to package recommendations.
- Boursin Garlic and Fine Herb Cheese - One of the advantages of making a baked Boursin pasta sauce is that the soft cheese already has a hint of garlicky, herb taste. While you are welcome to experiment with other tastes of this gournay cheese, this one complements our Italian tomato basil flavor profile beautifully.
- Grape Tomatoes- Because they are grown in greenhouses, they are available year-round without losing flavor. Cherry tomatoes also work!
- Fresh garlic is the only ingredient you'll need to prepare the baked Boursin cheese pasta sauce. If you don't want to dirty another dish, substitute canned minced garlic or frozen garlic paste.
- Olive Oil - There is no need to use expensive extra virgin finishing oil. Simply using regular cooking oil works perfectly!
- Italian Seasoning - Another time saver, this single spice bottle contains at least five different herbs, depending on the blend! If you don't have any on hand, you can easily make some.
- Pasta Water - This free ingredient is the secret sauce to making the best pasta sauce you've ever had (and not just for this recipe!). The starchy water is ideal for diluting pasta sauce while also providing body. Even if you don't use it all to make the sauce, save the rest since it's the greatest way to restore reheated Boursin and tomato pasta to its fresh-made perfection.
- For seasoning, add salt and black pepper. Use freshly cracked black pepper for the most intense flavor. You can also add crushed red pepper flakes if you wish.
- Fresh basil is optional but adds a nice pop of freshness.
Equipment
- Chef's Knife and Cutting Board ~OR~ Garlic Press
- Large Baking Dish or large pot
- 9 x 13 Casserole Dish
- Colander
- Large Spatula or Cooking Spoon
How To Make TikTok Boursin Pasta
It's easy to make the TikTok pasta recipe with tomato feta and Boursin. This is how you do it:
- Prepare the baked tomato pasta sauce in step one. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. In a large baking dish, combine the tomatoes and Boursin cheese. Evenly distribute the Italian spice, fresh garlic, and olive oil on top. Adjust the amount of salt and black pepper to your preference. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes.
- Cook and drain the pasta in step two. Cook pasta in a big pot of salted water as directed on the package while the sauce bakes. After draining, set away. One cup of the starchy pasta water should be set aside. Want to feed more people? To find out how, see my section on expert tips!
- Step 3: Combine ingredients for the sauce. After taking the tomato and boursin cheese mixture out of the oven, mix the ingredients together until a smooth sauce is formed. Use a spoon to gently press down on the roasted tomatoes if they haven't already burst.
- Step 4: Throw. To the sauce, add the cooked pasta. Evenly mix, then pour in the pasta water you set aside until the sauce is the consistency you want. About ½ cup is ideal for me.
- Step 5: Add a garnish and dig in! The only thing left to do is to garnish and savor the baked cheese spaghetti. Personally, I like to add a little basil chiffonade, but you can also add some more pepper, a little freshly grated Parmesan cheese, or any additional pizzazz you want, like fresh parsley or lemon zest!
Optional Variations & Dietary Adaptations
Who says this Boursin pasta bake is ideal for you, even though I adore it just as written? Here are some ideas for personalizing the cheesy pasta:
- Gluten-Free: By using gluten-free noodles of your choosing, you can make this spaghetti tomato bake celeriac-friendly.
- Dairy-free and vegan There's excellent news for all of my plant-based friends: Boursin has produced a creamy vegan alternative to its cheese. Cheers! Since it seems a little looser than the original, I would suggest roasting the garlic, tomatoes, and herbs separately. When the oven is done, mix the vegan cheese spread with the vegetables. Put the baking tray on a stove burner over medium heat if you need a bit more melting power.
- Try out a variety of flavors. I'm loyal since the garlic and herb cheese was my first love. Having said that, there are many different Boursin alternatives available today, so feel free to mix and match as you choose. Please let me know in the comments section below if you discover a fantastic combination!
Expert Tips
- Add salt to the water you use for pasta. Don't pass up the opportunity to season the pasta itself—you only have one chance!
- Remember to save aside a portion of the pasta water. It's essential for creating the creamiest, finest pasta Boursin sauce. Add it to taste, but if you want to have leftover pasta, try to have a little more on hand because it will give the sauce a new life when it's reheated.
- Want to feed more people? I use only 10 ounces of pasta so that I can get more of that delicious sauce on my plate, even though using the two blocks of cheese is more than enough for 16 ounces of spaghetti. If you choose this path, To extend the sauce further, I suggest putting extra tomatoes and olive oil in the baking pan and setting aside a little more pasta water.
Serving Suggestions
While there are many RIGHT ways to serve this Boursin TikTok pasta, there isn't a bad way. Some of my favorites are as follows:
- KISS: Sunshine, keep it easy! While Parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes are very delicious, I prefer to eat my pasta with fresh basil and cracked pepper.
- Protein Power. Although I think carbs are great, sometimes your girl needs a little more to get through. Try adding pan-seared or baked shrimp, ground beef or Italian sausage meatballs, or even some chicken (like my oven-baked chicken cutlets or chicken Romano)!
- More vegetables. Serve with steamed broccoli or a side salad, or top the tomatoes with sliced bell peppers, red onion, mushrooms, or fresh spinach while they bake.
- The greatest combination ever is Carbs on Carbs. To mop up every last bit of that Boursin cheese sauce, a garlic bread baguette is ideal. Another excellent option is air-fried garlic bread!
- The ideal dinner party. The whole purpose of hosting is to impress everyone, isn't that right? Serve your guests a portion of a caramel brownie skillet served a la mode after setting the mood with some low-carbs cauliflower arancini and a perfectly matched side dish like my burrata caprese. Have the Most Guests? ✅ 😋
Storage and Reheating Instructions
Can you freeze Boursin pasta? Can you reheat Boursin cheese pasta? "Yes!" is the response to both of these often asked inquiries.
- Keep leftovers in the refrigerator for up to five days in an airtight container. Try to save some of the pasta water for reheating in a different container.
- I prefer to put leftovers into separate containers for freezing so I can take out what I need when I need it. Once more, retaining a small amount of pasta water in each dish will help to restore the sauce's glossy finish. If possible, preserve a small ramekin.
- I recommend reheating in the microwave in 45-second increments while stirring in between. You might see that the sauce has thickened after the initial round. This is the time to add a splash of pasta water, if you have it. Keep heating the microwave until the temperature reaches the required level.

Particularly when combined with the other tastes in this recipe, I personally like the taste of garlic and herbs!
