Ingredients for Avocado Toast
This is an overview of the ingredients needed to make this avocado toast recipe. For the full list and the detailed instructions, be sure to check the recipe card down below!
- Bread: Toast some bread. Whatever you want. Thick slices taste so much better because they stay soft on the inside and crispy on the exterior.
- Avocados: we adore Hass avocados for making avocado toast.
- Lemon: a small squeeze for the avocados.
- Salt: For avocado toast, we like flakey salts.
- Red pepper flakes: give a spicy kick.
- Eggs: cooked to your liking.
- Black Pepper: Fresh cracked black pepper is the finest on avocado toast.
How to Make Avocado Toast With Egg
- To begin, prepare the toast's basis, which is everything before the eggs.
- Toast your bread in the oven or toaster.
- Remove the seed from the avocados.
- Scoop the avocados into a bowl and season with lemon juice, salt, and red pepper flakes.
- Smash your avocado with a fork to the desired texture. Allow it to be lumpy or mash it until smooth.
- Spread it on top of the toasted bread.
How to choose and store avocado
Gently squeeze an avocado to lift it up. A ripe avocado is solid with a slight softening. If the avocado is still too firm, place it on the counter to ripen.
Another method for selecting avocados is to look under the stem. Gently remove the stem from the top of the avocado. If the avocado is green below when you remove it, it is ready to eat. If the avocado is brown on the inside, it is overripe.
Avocados that are too soft or have blemishes on the skin are overripe and are not suitable for avocado toast.
Unripe avocados should be stored on the counter, away from direct sunshine, when brought home. When fully matured, consume immediately.

INGREDIENTS
- 1 pack of your favorite bread.
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter.
- 1 avocado.
- 2 eggs.
- 1 lemon.
- salt and pepper.
- 1 teaspoon sesame seed.
- 1 teaspoon red chili flakes.
INSTRUCTIONS
- First, toast your bread in the oven or toaster.
- Then, cut the avocado in half and remove the seed from the avocados.
- Scoop the avocados into a bowl and season with lemon juice, salt, and red pepper flakes.
- Smash your avocado with a fork to the desired texture. Allow it to be lumpy or mash it until smooth.
- Spread it on top of the toasted bread.
- Cooked eggs on top. Garnish and serve.
NOTES
- To keep the toast from coming apart, use thick and strong bread.
- Use only ripe avocados. To see if an avocado is ripe, carefully remove the top stem. If it readily comes out and the stem color is green, your avocado is ripe. It's too ripe if it's brown. If the stem does not easily come out, it is still raw.
- Garlic, lime or lemon juice, chile pepper, spices, and other tastes can be added to your avocado.
- Other options include jalapenos, sliced onions, smoked salmon, tomatoes, and so forth.
- Consume your avocado toast immediately after assembling it. When left uneaten for an extended period of time, it becomes mushy and nasty.

The avocado toast has been trending on social media. I grew up eating avocado (what we call pear in jamaica) and bread. Adding egg to the open-face sandwich makes it a delicious complete meal of breakfast.
